Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.

The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. Typical hours are 8 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Crest Hill is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Crest Hill follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

⭐☆☆☆☆ I took my vehicle here for an inspection because I wanted to find out what needed to be repaired. I completely understand that vehicles can have multiple issues, and I was planning to compare estimates before deciding where to have the work done. My biggest issue wasn’t the inspection itself it was the lack of communication. When I picked up my vehicle, they simply handed me the keys with no explanation of the findings. After starting my car, it immediately sounded completely different than when I dropped it off. I had to go back inside and ask what happened because no one had mentioned that something had broken during the inspection. Instead of explaining the situation professionally, the owner immediately told me I had an attitude and was rude. Rather than taking the time to walk me through what happened, the owner sent an employee to explain everything instead. Regardless of whether something breaking was unavoidable, customers deserve to be informed before they’re handed their keys. A proper walkthrough of the inspection results and any issues that occurred during the process should be standard. I shouldn’t have had to discover that something was different with my veh

What a great place to work with. Their extremely helpful, honest, not pushy at all, and very fair with their pricing. It's very hard to find a mechanic shop like this now a days. I've been coming to them for a while, and they do a very good job. And the fact that they give you the option to bring your own parts is great! I recommend this place 100%
